Maki: Paw of Fury RedDeerGames and Bacord is an old school beat ’em up with a furry cast. Pays homage to 90s arcade games with fast-paced action that takes place in the world of Pangea. Your journey begins when the main character jumps into action when a friend is captured. Maki must then use her fighting skills to use the power of the Tsume no Ken to fight evil. Mapu has betrayed Maki by kidnapping Kami, which was certainly unexpected!
Maki the fox will not be alone in this mission to rescue Kami. Along with him, you can also play as Tincho, the capybara, or Maka, the otter. Each will have different attacks, special attacks, and area attacks for you to consider, so be sure to try out all three to find what feels like the best fit for your playstyle.
The character you choose can be controlled with the left analog stick while using the Y button for normal attacks and the B button for special attacks. Constantly pressing each of those buttons will allow you to perform combos. Press the A button to jump. You can combine this with the Y or B buttons for air attacks. Press the Y and B buttons for an area attack. Use a powerful Breaker attack by pressing the X button. This will require you to use some of your mana.

There are some missed opportunities here, as having a co-op game on Nintendo Switch would have made a lot of sense. Not having HD rumble support is also strange, and only being able to control your character with the left analog stick is certainly an option. Maki: Paw of Fury is available for Nintendo Switch priced at $10.99.
